A Son of Gavalochori
Christos Moulas was a Brigadier General in the Hellenic Air Force and a native of Gavalochori. His death while on duty left a mark on his family and on the entire community of Apokoronas. In recognition of his sacrifice, a monument was erected in his honour on the central square of the village — a place that has since become a site of quiet tribute.
The annual commemoration is the community's way of ensuring that his memory does not fade. Everyone from the wider Apokoronas area is warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.
