Apokoronas looks for engineer to carry out structural reinforcement study

Apokoronas municipality has put out a call for offers from qualified structural engineers to prepare a study on how a ground-floor building — registered under Greece's building legalisation scheme — can be structurally reinforced. The announcement was published on October 9, 2026.

Background

In Greece, buildings that were built without proper permits and later registered under the legalisation framework of Law 4495/2017 often require formal technical studies before any further work can be carried out. This is one such case: the municipality needs a certified engineer to assess and document how the specific ground-floor structure can be made safe and structurally sound.

Contract value and funding

The estimated value of the contract is €8,761.34 including VAT. The work will be paid for entirely from the municipality's own funds — no external grants are involved.

Who can apply?

Only engineers formally invited to submit a bid may do so — unsolicited offers will not be considered. The invited candidate must hold a qualification in structural studies (Category 8), at Class A level or above.

The sealed offer must include the following documents:

  • Professional registration: Certificate from the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) or relevant professional body confirming registration and specialisation
  • Tax clearance certificate: Issued by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE)
  • Social security clearance: Issued by e-EFKA, including certificates for any employed staff and for the employer personally
  • Criminal record extract: Issued no more than three months before the submission date
  • Business status printout: From the Taxisnet portal, confirming that business activity has not been suspended
  • Signed declarations: Confirming no grounds for exclusion from public contracts, and that no similar direct contract has been signed with the Region of Crete in the past twelve months

Signed declarations may be submitted electronically via dilosi.services.gov.gr.
