Power cuts across Apokoronas: Check if your village is on the list
Residents and visitors in and around Apokoronas should be aware that the electricity grid operator DEDDIE has scheduled technical maintenance work that will cut power to a large number of villages across three consecutive days this week. The outages are planned and temporary — but with some lasting up to four hours during the morning, it is worth knowing exactly when and where they will happen.
Tuesday, August 25, 2026 — 07:30 to 11:30
The following villages will be without electricity for up to four hours on Tuesday morning:
- Kalyves (Maragkoudakis and Athitakis areas)
- Tzivaras
- Douliana
- Gavalochori
- Almyrida
- Aspro
- Plaka
- Kokkino Chorio
- Kampia
- Drapanos
Wednesday, August 26, 2026 — 07:00 to 11:00
Wednesday brings the most widespread outage of the three days, affecting a long list of villages mainly in the Kolymvari area:

On Thursday, the outage is limited to one area:
- Voulkaries: the area around Polenta Park and its immediate surroundings
What this means for you
The times given are the maximum duration. If the maintenance work finishes ahead of schedule, power will be restored before the listed end time. However, this does not mean power lines are safe to approach — all cables and network components must be treated as live at all times, including any that may have fallen to the ground. Approaching them is dangerous and strictly prohibited.
