Apokoronas names top-ranked candidates for school cleaning jobs in 2026/27
The Municipality of Apokoronas has officially published the final ranking lists for school cleaning staff who will work across the municipality's schools during the 2026/27 academic year. The lists were signed and released on August 25, 2026, and mark the conclusion of a formal selection process that began earlier in the month.
How the selection works
Applicants were scored on a points-based system that weighs several factors:
- Work experience in cleaning roles (full-time and part-time, calculated in months)
- Family status — including single-parent households, number of dependent children, and membership of large families
- Age of the applicant
- Disability — either of the applicant or of a family member
The higher a candidate's total score, the higher they appear on the ranking list, and the better their chances of being offered a contract.
Three separate lists
The municipality has published three distinct lists:
- General ranking list: covers all applicants and is used as the overall reference
- Full-time contracts list: for positions offering full working hours
- Part-time contracts list: for positions offering reduced working hours
Contracts run for the duration of the school year, from the start of the 2026/27 academic year.
Who came out on top?
In the general and full-time ranking, Anastasia Serfedaki secured first place with an impressive 8,183 points, benefiting from a long track record of relevant experience. Styliani Symvrakoudaki came second with 7,094.5 points, and Kalliopi Tsigkounaki placed third with 6,085.5 points.
In the part-time list, Maria Kokolaki leads with 2,421.5 points, followed by Maria Revelaki (815 points) and Aimilia Fragkiadaki (725 points).
Notably, the list also includes Ionica-Daniela Didu, listed with father's name Vergil — an unusual entry among the predominantly Greek-named applicants — who ranked 26th in the general list and 12th in the part-time list.
What happens next?
Applicants who appear near the top of the list should expect to be contacted by the municipality regarding their contract. Those who believe there has been an error in their scoring should contact the municipal offices in Vryses as soon as possible, as deadlines for objections against final lists are typically short.
Who signed the lists?
The ranking lists were compiled and signed by a committee consisting of:
- Giorgos Koutsoupakis — Deputy Head of the Administrative and Financial Services Directorate
- Dimitroula Arampatzis — Deputy Head of the Administrative Services Department
- Chrysoula Benaki — Deputy Head of the Social Protection, Education and Culture Department
- Persa Kouineli — Administrative Officer, Human Resources Department
