Power cuts in the Chania area: four days, several communities
Residents and businesses across a number of communities in the Chania area should prepare for planned electricity outages between March 26 and March 29, 2026. The outages are scheduled across four consecutive days, affecting different areas each day.

What you should know
If maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule, power will be restored before the listed end time. However, DEDDIE stresses that all power lines and network components — including any that may be lying on the ground — must always be treated as live. Approaching cables or any part of the network during the outage period is strictly forbidden due to the serious risk of electrocution.
