Free information evening on LEADER EU funding for public projects in Apokoronas
The Crete Development Organisation (OAK AE) is holding a public information evening on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, to explain how public bodies and organisations in Apokoronas can access EU funding through the LEADER/CLLD programme. The event is free and open to anyone with an interest in public projects for the area.
What is LEADER/CLLD?
LEADER (Liaison Entre Actions de Développement de l'Économie Rurale) is a European Union funding initiative that supports community-led local development in rural areas. Under the current programme, a local action group — here represented by OAK AE — manages a pot of EU and national funding and invites applications for projects that benefit the local community. This first call specifically covers projects of a public character, meaning those proposed by public bodies or equivalent organisations.
What will the evening cover?
The session is designed to walk potential applicants through everything they need to know before submitting an application:
- The content of the call and the specific actions and sub-actions available for funding
- Eligibility conditions and selection criteria
- Which costs can be covered by the programme
- How to submit a support application, step by step
When and where?
- Date: Tuesday, April 28, 2026
- Time: 7:00 p.m.
- Venue: Municipal Council Hall, Vryses, Apokoronas
Who should attend?
This call targets public-character projects — those put forward by public authorities, municipalities, or similar organisations. If you are involved in planning or delivering public infrastructure, community facilities, or local services in Apokoronas and want to explore EU co-financing, this is the session to attend.
